Question

Has anyone rented a car in Cape Canaveral and did you have any problems getting from the terminal to the rental facility? Ex. Hertz rental cars

I rented a car a couple of years ago There will be a shuttle pull up with "hertz" or "dollar" marked on it. Simply jump on and they will take you to there rental place, about 5 minutes away. I do remember there was quite a line up so it took about an hour to get our vehicle. We had reserved ahead of time so I wasn't worried.

There are many car rental facilities available, they are within a 3-5 mile range of the pier; and they will provide shuttles to get you back and fourth to the ship.

Guests are not allowed to bring hard liquor onboard. guests would be allowed to bring wine and champagne onboard. For each bottle that is brought onboard would have a corkage fee added on to their onboard account.
Corkage Fees:
$15.00 USD 750 ml bottle
$20.00 USD 1,000 ml bottle
$30.00 USD 1,500 ml magnum
These fees are per bottle.

You cannot bring your own liquor onboard the ship. Any liquor you bring onboard the ship will be confiscated by the ship's security and returned to you on the last night of the cruise. Same is true for any liquor you purchase at any of the ports you visit.
However, you are allowed to bring wine and champagne onboard the ship but there is a corkage fee ranging from $15-$30 per bottle.

Wine an champagne only, and as such you will be charged a corkage fee for each bottle, I believe there is a limit of two bottles.

You are allowed to smoke in designated smoking areas outside the ship, in the casino and in your balcony but not in your stateroom. If the ship has cigar bars, you can smoke cigars in the bars or designated smoking lounge. Cigar smoking is not allowed in your stateroom or your balcony.

In general the answer would be no. However Bahamas may require visa for visitors for certain countries. I would suggest checking the consulate website for Bahamas and check if they need visas.

You need to check with an official government entity on this one, for instance the Bahamian department in charge of this operation.

Anywhere from 30 days prior to your cruise to the time of check in; in most instances though you usually find out about 2 weeks prior on average.

On average once the ship docks and clears customs, you are looking at anywhere from 30 - 60 mins; usually on the shorter side.

Question

Can you ask for an upgrade free of charge if there is room available on ship

asked 7 months ago
by
Everready
on Bahamas & Florida Cruises

answer 1
You can always ask for a free upgrade but it's quite unlikely you will get it. Just like airlines, cruise ships tend to overbook under the assumption that some passengers will cancel. If the ship is under booked, you could try to get an upgrade but don't count on it.

Sure, you can always ask; check with whomever you booked your cruise through a few days prior to departure, and even upon checkin you can always ask. The procedure though is to offer upgrades to their repeat customers, then those who have reserved guarantee rooms, and then everyone else, assuming their are rooms available to upgrade to.
Bottom line, doesn't hurt to ask.
