Do we have to book the entertainment like Rock of ages or Burn the floor?

answer 1
While you can book ahead of time, I noticed when I sailed earlier this year that it was pretty much open seating for the entertainment held in the theater. The only thing you definitely want to book ahead of time for is the shows that are held in the comedy club. Seating is quite limited in that venue, and every show was full -- so if you did not book ahead of time, you could not get in.

Its not required that entertainment has to be booked prior to the sailing however it is something that is available to the guests who wishes to do so. The shows would not be 100 % filled prior to you getting onboard so you are able to make reservations once you are onboard as well.

answer 3
It is advisable to reserve your seats before the show because of the limited number of seats available per show. Certain number of seats are reserved for guests with no reservation and seating is based on availability.
You can reserve the seats by logging into your MyNCL account 90 days (100 days if you are staying in a suite) before your sail date. You can also make reservations onboard the ship.

You don't have to but if you don't you may not get to see the show when you want if it's fully booked. There's a standby line to see the show if seats are available.

It's a good idea to pre-book. While there is usually space available on a walk-in basis, the best seats will have been taken by those with reservations.

Don't even bother bringing water. We did based on the answers to this question and it was a waste. There is plenty of water available on the ship, as well as iced tea and lemonade. All free.

This should not be a problem as long as they are factory sealed. You may be asked to take them out to verify at security. I had some quart iced tea bottles in my checked baggage that got flagged and I had to open my luggage on the ship. This is intended to deter bringing aboard alcohol.

On the Bahamas/Florida cruise, Orlando is the first port of call. Since you haven't been to a foreign port, there's no need to go through customs.

All staterooms have mini fridges, but they do not store ice; chat with your stateroom attendant and make him/her aware of your needs and they will gladly provide.
Some cruiselines automatically provide ice twice a day, some will do it upon request.
Simply make your needs known and they will do their best to comply.
Hope this helps.

The stateroom has a min-fridge but not an ice maker. However, there is an ice bucket and your cabin steward will fill it with ice in the morning and again in the evening. If you require additional ice, you can always call room service for it.

All staterooms have a mini-fridge stocked like a for fee mini bar like hotels and the room steward typically fills the ice bucket in the stateroom daily. Talk to your room steward if you would like to have the mini-fridge contents removed and additional ice if needed. If he/she does a good job I suggest an extra tip as it's not part of their daily job.

The Ice Bar is not available to book prior to the sailing. Once onboard you will be able to make reservations.

There is a $20.00 per person charge for all ages for the Svedka Ice Bar. The charge covers the Parka rental and two specialty beverages and 45 minutes to experience the bar

You have to make the reservations onboard the ship. The ice bar is a small room and they limit the number of guests at any given time. I've been to the ice bar and we were able to get reservation for the same day. There is a cover charge for the ice bar.
