It's called the White Hot Party.
The White Hot Party is the signature party event on all NCL cruise ships. There is no set date for it and it will occur usually on the 3rd or 4th night of the cruise. Check the onboard newsletter for the exact date & time.
You are encouraged to wear something white to the party. However, you don't have to wear white if you prefer not to wear white clothes.

Hi there! This ship is very casual for dining, except for the Captain's Night (should you choose to dress up for that), and for the specialty restaurants. In those restaurants, a Polo shirt or collared shirt with jeans or khakis should be fine.

We weren't on deck 11 but we were on deck 12 (12778) on our sailing last year - which was literally right by the stairs/elevators/splash academy entrance. We didn't have any issues with noise during our entire cruise (surprisingly).

We ended up booking our current Breakaway cruise on the same deck as a result of it. Given our proximity to that area, I would imagine being one deck down should also yield similar outcomes

On the Breakaway, the lifeboats are on deck 7 level. The staterooms are level 8 and above. None of the staterooms have obstructed view. If you stand in the balcony and look straight down you will see the lifeboats.

The Breakaway and Getaway don't have obstructed view cabins. The tenders which would cause the obstructions hang below deck 8 and aren't in front of any staterooms.

You can also make reservations online before you sail. On NCL's website, log into your MyNCL account and select your vacation. You should see the option for shore excursions, dining & entertainment. The dining and entertainment options will be available 45 days (55 days if you are staying in a suite) before your sail date.

The dinner and entertainment reservations are slightly different. When you make the dinner reservation, you only need to specify the number of guests i.e. 6-8 guests. You will need to pay the cover charge online at the time of reservation. For entertainment reservation, the reservation can only be done for the guests staying in your stateroom. You will need to log into each account (one per stateroom) and make the reservation. You could call NCL and they should be able to make the reservation for all staterooms provided you know their reservation details.

Wifi is not free, is a satellite connection which can be slow and reception on the ship varies depending on your location on the ship.

Yes, they have the same menu. Some items on the menu change from day to day but each restaurant has the same offerings. The only thing you benefit from a change in restaurant is a change in atmosphere and servers.

Question

is september a busy time to cruise?

Is mid/late September a busy week for this cruise and if so why? I figured it wouldn't be because the kids are in school and its still hurricane season, but this week is the only week all year that they are sold out of studios

During summer breaks, the cruise ships are naturally more crowded. Once schools are in session, cruise ships give discounts to attract people who didn't want to travel during the summer break. Personally, we prefer to not travel when there are too many kids on the ship. The best times are in late Sept and in Jan.
Studios are very popular and they do tend to get sold out fast because of the limited number of cabins available. You have to book early or call an NCL travel agent and check with them for options.

Mid/late September the weather is still nice in Bermuda unless there's a hurricane, kids are back in school and it's less expensive. Studios are likely sold out as others, like yourself, considered this a good time to travel.

Noise Level Deck 5?

The decks have good sound-proofing and you won't hear any noise from the decks above or below you. You may hear the faint noise from the TV in the next stateroom or footsteps outside. Nothing to worry about.
As far as getting sea sick is concerned, that depends on the weather conditions and how good you hold up. In general, due to the ship's massive size and weight they are less prone to the motions compared to smaller ships. However, I would suggest carrying some pills for safety.
