The zip line and the plank are a part of the rope course. The zip line is a short distance and just traverses the width of the ship.

I tried a few of the vegetarian entrees at several restaurants and found them disgusting. Your;e much better off ordering just a few of the vegetable sides or go to the buffet.

We are able to accommodate vegetarian meals. Guests who are requesting any type of special diets should speak with the Resturant Manager or the Executive chef once onboard to discuss dietary needs

Yes. They have one menu item that would be vegetarian. It may not be strictly vegan option but it will be a vegetarian dish. The buffet area will have a few more selection options.

The bathrooms have liquid body wash and shampoo dispensers. The sinks have soap dispensers. They soaps are some generic brand that and the cabin stewards refill the dispensers.
I would suggest packing your own favorite brand of soap and shampoos in your luggage.

They usually use Pier 88 at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal. That pier is at 48th St and 12th Ave, but if you're driving, the entrance is at 55th St.

Yes. It is smaller than the Jewel, Gem, or Dawn. I can't fit my iPad inside. I don't know the size of a Kindle. I have been on 11 NCL cruises with no theft issues. I save the safe for my wallet and jewelry.

A stateroom may be assigned any time after final payment has been received, up to the day of sailing.
If you want you can print the luggage tags at 30 days prior to your cruise if the cabin is not yet assigned, once you know your cabin number you can just write it on the tags.

answer 2
Generally, you may be assigned your room one week before your cruise. However, it is possible that you will not be assigned a room until you arrive on board your cruise. If you'd like to have some idea of how full your cruise may be, check out how many rooms are available on your sailing in your category and above. This may give you some idea.

answer 3
Generally speaking you will get your room assignment anywhere from 14 - 30 days prior to your cruise; it could be as late as check in time. Even if your luggage tags are not ready prior to your leaving for your cruise, you can ask the porters at the pier to look up your room assignment and they will provide luggage tags for you right at the pier so there is no need to worry about that.

as a haven guest, do you still pay extra for some restaurants

You can dine for free in the Haven restaurant, but you musy pay the standard cover charge in the other specialty restaurants. It's a good idea to make reservations ahead of time. You can do that on-line via MyNCL, or your concierge can take care of it for you.

Yes, and yes. Specialy restaurant charges apply to everyone, regardless of where you are staying. You can book dining reservations in the specialty restaurants 100 days prior to sailing, but you'll have to use a credit card to pre-pay -- you cannot use on-board-credit (if you have some) for the charges. The concierge can also help you with reservations once you board. If your dining party is large, it's advisable to book in advance, but if you're a small party (2 or 4), you should be okay.
