Yes, you may carry on a third bag, but remember that it must be small enough to fit through the x-ray machine at the security checkpoint.

Since you drop your check in bags with a porter and bring your carry on bags to the security area, I do not believe you would have an issue. I am not sure they would even know how many you had left with the porter.

Personally, I think the "two bags" policy is more of a guideline than a strict policy, but your best bet is to double check with the NCL customer service line I would think.

You (per person) are allowed to check in two pieces and have one carry on plus an additional bag like a laptop bag.

I believe that applies to checked luggage only as they don't usually count the number of bags. If you have a carry-on bag it must be small (i.e., (22 x 14 x 9 in) enough to fit through the x-ray scanner at the terminal like in airports. Also, you will have to carry it with you onboard the ship until your stateroom is ready which can be a couple of hours after boarding.

All staterooms and suites have safes. Please note that Norwegian Cruise Line is not responsible for valuables left in staterooms or elsewhere on board. All safes use combinations.

No. The balcony staterooms do not have a DVD player. The TVs in the room also don't have an input terminal where you can connect any external device like a portable DVD player.
DVD players are only available in the suites.

No, and guests are not able to use their own portable DVD players and/or video game systems onboard. All of the TV inputs are locked out so no one can plug anything (e.g., DVD players, X-Box, Playstations, etc.) into them. The only exceptions are some of the suites where DVD players are provided.

No. Due to fire hazard issues, the staterooms do not have clothes iron and you are not allowed to bring irons on board the ship. However, you can request the Guest Services Desk or the cabin stewards they will be happy to bring you an iron and ironing board for a few hours.

answer 2
Guests are not permitted to bring and use their own irons or steamers onboard. Norwegian Cruise Line carries a limited number of irons and ironing boards which can be loaned to guests for a few hours at a time. They can be requested through housekeeping or Guest Services Desk.

Irons and steamers would both be taken from guests at embarkation and returned at the end of the sailing.

There are no irons in any stateroom, and you're not allowed to bring your own - they're a fire hazard. Your cabin steward can lend you one for a short time.

NCL does not place a limit on the amount of wine you bring on board, but a corkage fee will be charged for each bottle you bring for consumption on the ship. In some ports you can check in your wine with your luggage and have it brought to your room. In other ports you will have to carry it on board yourself. For info on corkage fees, see this link:

Majority of staterooms, including balcony, have two lower beds that convert into a queen-size bed. Beds for 3rd/4th guests in staterooms are fold-down bunk beds from the wall and/or trundle beds. Refer to stateroom descriptions for more info via the "Staterooms" link above.
