Normally, the ships dock early in the morning and they allow passengers to disembark around 8 AM.
If you decide to carry your bags off the ship, you will be the first to disembark after the VIP guests. If you have too many bags, get the early dismemberment tags on the last night of the cruise. To make disembarkation easy, NCL uses color coded bag tags which specify the disembarkation time on it. That way you will be able to disembark after the people who carry their own bags are off the ship.
Normally it takes about 2 - 2 1/2 hours to clear the whole ship.

Suite guests followed by passengers walking off with their luggage are the first to disembark. Remaining passengers disembark in 20-30 minute intervals, based on the time slot they chose a day or two before return, beginning about 30-45 minutes after return to port. Usually the ship is cleared of all passengers within 2-3 hours of return to port.
