Seasick?!?

After a lifetime of seasickness, I have found a perfect solution, for me. I take one Bonine tablet, this is non-drowsy, the night before I leave on the cruise, then every day I take one in the AM and one at night. It seems that getting it in your system before getting sick is the answer.

The ships are quite stable due to their size and the stabilizers. I have never felt sea sick on board the ships. That is not to say the ships never rock.......
I would suggest that you take the pills with you. Not sure if the bracelets work and you don't want to be stuck with something that doesn't work.

Question

Connecting balconies?!?

We have connecting rooms, does this mean the balconies connect (or can connect) as well?

The balconies have connecting doors but the doors are locked with no keys for the passengers. The doors are kept closed for safety reason (not sure how) but if you explain to the cabin stewards that you have friends/family in the adjacent room, I'm sure they will be happy to open it.

There is a removable divider that most likely will need to be adjusted. Simply ask your cabin steward and they will assist you.

Question

Are you able to buy beer to bring in your room?

answer 1
NCL only allows wine and Champagne to be brought aboard the ship. They charge a corkage fee for the bottles. Beer and other alcohol are not allowed. Onboard the ship, you can purchase the beer in buckets and you can bring them back to your stateroom.

If you purchase it on the ship, of course. But you cannot bring your own beer on board.

Question

How do you set up onboard account?

What is the difference between using credit card or debit?

answer 1
It's better to use a credit card rather than a debit card. NCL puts a hold transaction on your card and based on your usage they may put multiple holds.
If you exceed your limit on your debit card, you could incur additional charges from your bank.

Either way your credit or debit card will be charged but NCL recommends against debit cards. Refer to "How do I pay for onboard expenses?" in the "Money Matters" section of the FAQ's.

Question

Do you have to purchase an excursion to get off of the ship?

asked 10 months ago

answer 1
Not at all! Booking an excursion through the ship just gives you certain guarantees and assurances; such as a tour that has been reviewed by the ship and is held to their high criteria, also, should the tour run late, the ship will wait for cruise sponsored events; if you go off on your own it is your responsibility to get back on time.
There are advantages to both, but either way you should enjoy yourself.

No, you do not have to purchase an excursion. You can get off the ship and explore on your own, just be back on board before departure from the port of call as the ship will not wait for you.

are there hair dryers in the bath? Doyou bring your own beach towels for beach excursions?

There are hair dryers in the stateroom, not necessarily in the bathroom. Beach towels are provided for your use at the ship's pool or beach excursions and can be exchanged for fresh by your room steward or poolside. Don't lose/misplace them or you will be charged a fee.

Hair dryers are provided in every stateroom, and their will also be beach towels awaiting you in your room for the duration of your voyage; you can swap them out at the pool for a fresh towel, but you need to make sure to have the towel in your room when you depart or you will be charged.

The chances of you getting a particular room is slim if the room is already booked. You have to hope that the passengers cancel their trip. If you booked it with a travel agent, you can ask them to keep an eye for that room but ... again ... chances are slim.
