Of course it will be back from dry dock. They have the refurbishing down to an exact science. They wouldn't have scheduled your cruise if the ship wasn't going to be ready.

If you are booked on the ship then it will not be in drydock unless something goes wrong that extends the drydock period.

Swimmies are probhibited per the FAQ link below. Life jackets shouldn't be a problem if it's a personal item you bring with you, however you cannot use the ship's life jacket for use in the pool.

There is only one ship at a time at GSC. NCL does rent the island to other cruises though so you could potentially stop there on an MSC cruise.

You are allowed to bring your own sodas, juices and water. You can check them or carry them on board. The products must be sealed or risk confiscation by the security. Make sure you tag them with your room tags so that they are delivered to your stateroom along with your luggage.

We are a group of 12 and want to dine together each night in the main dining room. Can we make reservation for same time & table nightly?

We are okay with an early seating. Can we book this in advance of boarding or first day?

You are cruising Freestyle. There are no assigned times or seats for dinner. Just as in a regular restaurant, you can go anytime the restaurant is open and the seating is on a first come first serve basis. The restaurants are usually open for dinner from around 5:30 PM to about 10 PM.
You cannot make reservations for the main dining rooms. The specialty restaurants do accept reservation.

I think you can make those reservations with the Restaurant Manager or Maitre'd once on board. You could try calling NCL Reservations to see if it can be pre-arranged.

There are no seating times with Freestyle Dining, you show up when you are hungry. You may talk to the maitre'd when you first board and something may be set up because they do sometimes allow large groups to make reservations.

I almost always bring my swiss army knife, and usually pack it in my carry on and have never had an issue. On my most recent cruise I packed in my luggage that I checked in, (just in case) and everything was fine.

Here is a link to the prohibited item list, which admittedly isn't much help:
http://www.ncl.com/faq#what-to-bring . I would say that if you are able to bring it on a plane then you probably won't have difficulty bringing it on a ship.

answer 1
The check-in process usually starts at around 11 AM and they will let you board the ship around 12 noon. However, you will not be allowed into your staterooms until 2-3 PM to give the staff enough time to clean the rooms. You can have lunch on board the ship and explore the public areas of the ship.

The check in process usually begins around 11am, and boarding usually begins around noon; your stateroom will not be available till around 1pm, but you are free to explore the ship, grab a bite to eat at either the buffet or main restaurant. Or grab a drink at any of the bars on board.
