White hot party

We are trying to pack as lightly as possible, so we would like to know if you have to wear white for the White hot party or can go in any other attire?

You are cruising free style. There are no restrictions for doing anything on the ship. White clothes for the white hot party is just a suggestion and not a requirement. You are allowed to wear anything you want.

I went last year and everyone wore white clothes. They are available on the ship most people who attended wore white to the disco where this was taken place If you did not attend the white party you could wear anything . The people who attended the white night was in a disco or confined to a bar or disco . They then wore all white even a white Tee shirt, and white pants were acceptable. If you plant to attend that is your choice. Hope I help

The specialty restaurants have different pricing. If you are a fan of Cagney's steakhouse and plan to eat there often then the price is worth it but if you want to do the Italian restaurant then you are better off not buying the package.

That would depend upon your taste; If you really want to eat at the specialties (and being able to make reservations), and your budget. A lot of passengers do, and the majority are happy without them.

Question

Does the menu remain the same every day in the main dining rooms?

I don't remember this being the case on the Pearl as lobster was available one night then other changes occurred throughout the week. Now I'm second guessing our choice since we enjoy the dining rooms and 11 days would be too long to have the same thing every day. Can anyone confirm this?

There are different specials offered every evening; if those specials don't appeal to you, they do offer more standard meals every day as well. But to answer your question, there are different varieties of meals offered every day.

There are two sections to the MDR menus. One section stays the same every night, the other changes nightly. The is also a nightly special. The Dinner menus are usually posted outside the dining rooms by lunchtime.

Best bet is to reapply for a change in your passport.
You will have to send in all papers+fees.
YOU WILL be issued a new passport with your
new marriage name.+avoid carrying allsorts of
IDs in the future when you travel

Technically all you need is a government ID. The only issue with not bringing a passport is that is something happens and you need to be left behind, you will have issues getting back to the US. To be on the safe side, I would bring everything you have....marriage licenses, divorce decrees, passport, birth certificate, and drivers license. Best to err on the side of caution in my opinion.

If you are a US citizen, you either need a passport or Birth Certificate along with a govt issued photo id like a driver's lic. It is always advisable to carry your passport just in case you miss the ship and you have to fly back into the country.
However, if your reservation is in a different name from what is shown in the driver's lic or passport, I would suggest carrying your marriage and divorce certificates. Most probably you won't need to use it (drivers lic would suffice) but just in case the officials had additional questions, any extra certificates you carry will mean less time and hassle explaining the situation.

3rd & 4th beds are either pull-down beds from the wall, trundle beds or combination of the two. 3rd & 4th beds will be set up at night and put away in the morning by the room steward.

Question

Are there any issues on deck 4?

I am new to NCL and we are booked on Gem gty inside cabin. We got cabin 4583 and I would like to know if there are any issues regarding noise or smells etc... Just wondering if I should upgrade. I am fine with an inside cabin but I don't like nasty surprises.

You shouldn't have any issues on the deck. The engines and various machineries are located further down and you shouldn't hear or feel them. The only issue I can think of is that it will be a bit noisy when the ship is docked at port since they use the deck for disembarkation. Again, if you are away from the elevators, it won't be an issue.

The only issue you may have is that deck 4 is where everyone has to go to leave the ship when they dock in the different ports, so there will be a lot of traffic with people coming and going.

There are no assigned seats or times for dinner. Just as in a regular restaurant, you can go anytime the restaurants are open and seating is on a first come first serve basis. You can always get a table for one.

Freestyle dining, you can eat when you want and will not be assigned a seat, so unless you meet some people on the ship, you will be dining alone.
