You cannot bring your own liquor onboard the ship. Any liquor you bring onboard the ship will be confiscated by the ship's security and returned to you on the last night of the cruise. Same is true for any liquor you purchase at any of the ports you visit.
However, you are allowed to bring wine and champagne onboard the ship but there is a corkage fee per bottle.

I always bring a small clock that's illuminated. I wake up a lot during the night & like to know what time it is.
That's one item I always take along.

answer 2
There are no clocks in your stateroom. The room phone shows the time on it and you can use the phone's automated wake up service to setup alarms.
The closets have about 15-20 hangers. You can always get more from the cabin steward.

The only rooms with bedside clocks, or any clocks for that matter are suites. Your steward can provide as many hangers as you can fit in the closet.

There are no clocks in the staterooms and I can only remember having seen 2 on the entire ship. As I recall there's about 12 hangers in the closet and I think you can request more from the room steward. Or pack extra hangers depending on how many you need.

You can absolutely call and order a bar setup before sailing. They will give you prices for different brands. It doesn't matter what kind of room you have or if you are a VIP. If you are in an Owners Suite or the Garden Villa, your room comes with a bar setup so no need to pre-order.

You cannot bring drinks of any kind on board except wine, which has a $15 corking fee per bottle. Soda and alcohol are where the cruise ships make their money.

You cannot buy hard liquor bottles on board the ship nor are you allowed to take it with you. NCL does have the option, usually for VIP guests, where they can call NCL's reservation desk at least 30 days ahead of the sail date and have NCL make the arrangements to deliver the bottle to your stateroom. However, you have to pay a premium price for it and it probably won't be worth the cost.

You are allowed to smoke in designated smoking areas outside the ship, in the casino and in your balcony but not in your stateroom. If the ship has cigar bars, you can smoke cigars in the bars or designated smoking lounge. Cigar smoking is not allowed in your stateroom or your balcony.

The beds are normally separated. They join them together if it's a married couple staying in the room. If by chance the beds are joined, just inform your cabin steward and they can separate it out and get the blankets and bed sheet.

You could try calling NCL to see if there's a way to note that prior to your cruise. In any case, if it's not set up as twin beds you can ask the room steward to rearrange the bed configuration.

It's almost exactly mid ship. You are two rooms down from being next to the mid ship elevators/stairs. Enjoy your cruise.

If you see aft on your luggage tag, that just tells the longshoremen where to load your bags onto the ship. It's not necessarily an indication of where your stateroom is.

Question

are there wheel chairs available to rent aboard the jewel?

asked 10 months ago
by

answer 1
This is from Norwegian's web site www.ncl.com/about/accessible-cruising
Guests with Mobility Impairments
A wheelchair, scooter or walker may be the primary mobility assistance aid for getting on and off the ship for guests who cannot walk on their own. Norwegian Cruise Line has a limited supply of wheelchairs onboard. In order to accommodate our guests, Norwegian Cruise Line wheelchairs are reserved exclusively for embarkation and disembarkation situations. If you will require regular use of a wheelchair, we strongly recommend that you bring your own wheelchair with you. You may also make rental arrangements onboard from a limited supply of rental wheelchairs which are available onboard on a first come first serve basis.

In the middle of the paragraph they say no, but the last sentence says yes. Be safe, bring your own or make advanced arrangements.

NCL doesn't provide wheel chairs or scooters to rent. There are a few wheel chairs available onboard the ship but that is only for assisting the guests during embarkation and disembarkation. You will either need to bring your own wheel chair or use the third party company that NCL suggests on their website to make the arrangements to rent a wheel chair

Guests are not permitted to bring and use their own irons or steamers onboard. Norwegian Cruise Line carries a limited number of irons and ironing boards which can be loaned to guests for a few hours at a time. They would be able to be requested though housekeeping ir Guest Services Desk.

Guests are not allowed to bring irons onboard for safety reasons. There will be irons and ironing boards available to guests to be able to use for a couple of hours and then would have to be returned, ask your room steward or guest services.
