I read somewhere on the web we can put down money for a future cruise and get a credit on this trip. Has anyone done this?

We have done this a few times. Not only did we get a $100 credit on that cruise but the $250 is good for the deposit on your next cruise no matter what it should be. Great idea!

The Cruise Rewards Program is available on every sailing. You would put down a deposit for a future cruise and then in return receive an onboard credit to be used on the current sailing that your on. Once you are onbaord you may inquire about this to the Guest Services Desk.

Yes, it's called Freestyle Cruise Rewards and info available via the following link.

We have done this for several years now and never had any issue in using the Cruise Reward as a deposit on a future cruise at a later date.

we put $250. down when we sailed on the Sun in march of 2013 and we used the credit cert. to book this cruise. there was no discount or perks, other than the $250. associated with this cruise on Jewel, however, we did get a $100 on-board credit applied to our account on the Sun. hope this helps.

There are sports bars with televisions onboard and if there is a satellite signal then they would be most likely to put on the game, however theres no way to confirm that until you are onboard.

I'm sure you will be able to find the game someplace, whether it be in the atrium or in the sports bar, or one of the lounges on board.

Games are sometimes shown in the bars. Ask if the one you want is available and perhaps they can tune it in for you. Depends on what is available on the ship.

Yes. That is one of the main advantage of booking through NCL. If the return is delayed for any reason, the ship will wait until all of you are onboard.

You can absolutely call and order a bar setup before sailing. They will give you prices for different brands. It doesn't matter what kind of room you have or if you are a VIP. If you are in an Owners Suite or the Garden Villa, your room comes with a bar setup so no need to pre-order.

You cannot bring drinks of any kind on board except wine, which has a $15 corking fee per bottle. Soda and alcohol are where the cruise ships make their money.

You cannot buy hard liquor bottles on board the ship nor are you allowed to take it with you. NCL does have the option, usually for VIP guests, where they can call NCL's reservation desk at least 30 days ahead of the sail date and have NCL make the arrangements to deliver the bottle to your stateroom. However, you have to pay a premium price for it and it probably won't be worth the cost.

You are allowed to smoke in designated smoking areas outside the ship, in the casino and in your balcony but not in your stateroom. If the ship has cigar bars, you can smoke cigars in the bars or designated smoking lounge. Cigar smoking is not allowed in your stateroom or your balcony.

The unlimited packages have to be purchased by everyone in the room over age 21. There are also smaller deals. For instance you should be able to get a bucket of beer where you pay for 5 and get 1 free. Also there are wine packages where you save a % off buying a few bottles. They will give you tickets for each bottle which you can bring with you and retrieve in the dining room or in one of the bars.

No. Due to fire hazard issues, the staterooms do not have clothes iron and you are not allowed to bring irons on board the ship. However, you can request the Guest Services Desk or the cabin stewards they will be happy to bring you an iron and ironing board for a few hours.

With Freestyle there is no set times for dinner in the complimentary restaurants, however you need reservations for the Specialty restaurants . You just go the restaurant you choose at the time you choose just like going to a restaurant at home without reservations. During peak dinner times there may be a wait but they have pagers.
