If you are a fan of fountain Pepsi, I would ask before purchasing the package. The last cruise we took on the Spirit, the Pepsi was all out of 2 liter bottles which was a disappointment. While on the Pearl, it was out of a fountain.

NCL serves Pepsi products onboard the ship. You can buy a package which allows free refills on board the ship.
You are allowed to bring your own sodas and water. You can check them or carry them on board. The products must be sealed or risk confiscation by the security.

You can also get juices. Orange, cranberry, pineapple. I bought the $75 juice and soda sticker. It comes with a Norwegian travel mug - I called it my $75 mug!

The main shows in the Stardust theater are at 7:30 and 9:30 PM. The doors open 30 minutes prior to the show.
There are other shows in the Spinnaker Lounge that run late into the night.
Check the daily newsletter on board the ship for the show timing and locations.

Also the White Hot party was at 10:15. I was so tired I didn't make it and was way too late fro my young kids to attend. Wish I would have known, I wouldn't had gone out to buy my kids white clothes.

answer 1
Yes there is hairdryers in the rooms and you will need to use that one. You cannot use your own because the wattage is too high for the ship and it will cause the electric to go out in your room and the staff will have to reset the electricity in your room.

Question

Difference in rooms (balcony)?

Is there really a difference (other than price) between the balcony room and the family balcony rooms? The descriptions are almost identical and the picture and floor plans are identical. Is there any advantage to either? Thoughts? Thanks!

With balconies the major difference between them is location. The better the location, the higher the price.

If you are staying in the suite or the penthouses, you should have priority boarding. However, the process doesn't take too long. They have plenty of check-in counters.
Check with guest services for priority disembarkment on the final day of the cruise.

When my wife an I sailed Sept, 2011 as I recalled the only early boarding was first for elderly and disabled. Then the Latitude members then by section of the ship and floors. Your luggage is usually already at your door. I assure you to rest in peace as all will go smoothly. Enjoy your trip! I do recommend that your really check your cameras for NEW batteries and extras. We took a train trip and camera died. Luckily the couple in front from Australia loaned us some aussie batteries.

If I may, I would suggest that you pack just the stuff you need. You are allowed two bags + carryon per passenger.
... but for some reason, the stuff you managed to neatly pack at home doesn't seem to want to fit in the same bags on the way back home :-(
Plus, you will need place for all the stuff you buy on shore and on the ship.

If it's a small fan that fits in your luggage, I don't see a problem with it especially if you explain to them that you need it while you sleep or something.

Question

ON last day when ship docks say 0800 hrs, is there ample time for breakfast or what is the latest time for passenger to disembark ?

asked 8 months ago
by
edmundlg
on Norwegian Pearl

Answers
answer 1
To make disembarkation easy, NCL uses color coded bag tags which specify the disembark time on it. The first guests to disembark are guests who are carrying their own bags out.
You can pick the bag tags for the last available time slot that way you can have breakfast on the ship before disembarking. It usually takes about 2 hours for everyone to disembark. If you have the last to disembark you will be out around 9:30-10 AM

How much time you have for breakfast is based on your departure choice. Passengers who walk off with their luggage are the first to leave and all others choose a departure time (usually 20-30 increments). The buffet and restaurant are open early so you should have time to grab a bit to eat. The ship is usually cleared of all passengers within 2-3 hours.
